Grammar Point: Alphabetical Order is a method in which names, terms, or words are arranged in the same sequence as the letters of the alphabet. This method helps you look up words in a dictionary quickly. When words are placed in ABC order, you start by looking at the first letter of every word and start with the beginning of the alphabet.  For example, if you have any words that start with the letter "A" that is your first word to list. If more than one word begins with the letter A, we put them in order based on the second letter, and then the third letter, and so on.

Grammar Exercise: Place the vocabulary words in alphabetical order. The first one has been done for you.

  1. Good entry! I like the extensive vocabulary list and the grammar point that asks the students to alphabetize, an important literacy skill.
